The marketing and strategy research team includes members with a shared interest in the analysis of interactions between society and marketing. Beginning with the market, the focal point of the team’s research over the relevant period, they systematically reveal the links and interactions between firms and their clients, organisations and consumers, society and citizens, and firms and society. This approach produces both theoretical and methodological contributions at the highest level, as well as managerial and societal contributions.
In 2017, the DRM Ermes team has a total of 14 members, 2 associate researchers, 1 postdoctoral researcher and 20 doctoral researchers.
The team regularly holds a research seminar on Thursdays as well as doctoral seminars, and maintains links with the chair on the Performance of Organisations and with several research centres.
Development of the experimental laboratory, put in place in 2011, which facilitates the introduction of experimental methods and serves as a support tool for the DRM laboratory as a whole;
The introduction and development of research contracts is another noteworthy feature of the team’s work:
Project entitled “Removing obstacles to the adoption of sustainable consumption modes: A marketing perspective” (Ministry for the environment), coordinated by F. Larceneux followed by B. Parguel
“RECHANGE” (resistance against the exchange of waste) project (ADEME), coordinated by V. Guillard
“PICO” (pioneers in collaboration) project, overseen by IEP de Paris but with Dauphine as a partner (V. Guillard, B. Parguel, F. Benoît-Moreau)
“Consci-Gaspi” (preventing waste by raising awareness) project, co-ordinated by V. Guillard
“Découverte Chine” research programme (Campus France, the French national agency for the promotion of higher education, international student services, and international mobility: www.campusfrance.org), of which V. Guillard was a beneficiary

Recruitment of a new Professor with a view to introducing a new research area (customer experience and value creation)
Activities of the chair on the Performance of Organisations
All of these activities contribute to the growing reputation of DRM Ermes, feed into its work and favour academic output. Between 2012 and 2017, it produced several publications ranked 1 and 2 by the CNRS, including articles in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Business Ethics.
